The cheapest time that you are going to find the hotels are during the weekdays in the wintertime where the hotels have their most discounted rates.

During the rest of the year, most hotels offer discounted packages that can save you money, too. For example, a recent special at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino included a room in one of the towers and a $150 dining credit at the hotel’s most exclusive restaurant for $200 per night. While still not cheap, this could be a nice way to spend the weekend if you’re just wanting to get away for a couple of days.

At the Borgata Hotel and Casino, a recent package included a room, dinner for two at the buffet, two tickets to the Comedy Club, and two drinks for $115 per night. That’s another good deal, even if you just wanted to get away for the evening.

Your best bets are to watch for specials at individual hotels and to travel during the off-peak seasons. You can save money at Atlantic City hotels by knowing when to go.
