Los Angeles might be one of the United States’ most visited destinations, but it’s also an expensive one, too. The good news is that not all Los Angeles hotels are expensive and even if you want to stay near the action, there are reasonably priced hotels to be found for almost any budget.

Even though you might have ideas of staying near Rodeo Drive in one of the posh and elegant hotels, most people are on a budget when they take a vacation. You don’t have to sacrifice quality and safety for price, though when it comes to LA.

The following is a list of Los Angeles hotels that will keep you in the center, but won’t make you blow your entire vacation budget on your accommodation.

1. Hotel Stillwell- Located downtown; rooms at this hotel tend to run less than $100 per night. It’s a basic hotel, but rooms do include a refrigerator and it’s clean. Plus, there is a pretty good Indian restaurant onsite, too, and it’s in a decent neighborhood.

2. Rita Milner- Also located downtown, the Rita Milner is located close to the Los Angeles Convention Center. The rooms are standard and clean and at less than $100 per night, they won’t break the bank.

3. Best Western Hollywood Hills Hotel- If it’s Hollywood you want to stay in, then you could do worse than the Best Western. The rooms in the older building are large and there is a swimming pool onsite. The hotel also includes free parking and Universal Studios is easy to reach on the nearby Metro Line.

4. The Farmers Daughter- This Westside Los Angeles hotel might have a funny name, but it’s also right across from the CBS Studio. The location also makes it close to the museums, too. It’s a fun place to hang out and has a bar and restaurant onsite. You can expect to pay around $125 per night for a room.

5. Beverly Laurel Motor Hotel- In Mid-Wilshire, this small, motor lodge has inexpensive rooms at around $100 per night. The style is fun and Art Deco and there is even a swimming pool onsite. The diner that is located next door stays open late, which is good if you need a quick bite of something to eat after a night out on the town.

With so many fun things to see and do in Los Angeles, the last thing you want to do is to spend a lot of money on your hotel room, especially when it isn’t necessary. With a little bit of research, though, and some careful consideration you can find a room well within your price range in just about any area.

Do be careful, however, when choosing a hotel. You want to make sure that it is in a good and safe location. Reading up on the area that it is located in and finding some reviews of the place before you pay for it will help avoid some headaches when you get there.
