As we get older and our children start to drift off and make their own life independent of us, we start to think back and take an interest in who our ancestors were and where they came from. Now is a great time in or lives with discount travel deals to go off exploring our past.

Perhaps you have ancestors from the UK or Italy or from Africa and although you have heard stories from your own parents it just isn’t the same as retracing their lives for yourself. Maybe you were born outside the US and have never returned to your family’s original birthplace. Now is a great time in your life to go back to where you were born and rediscover it as an adult. Where you come from plays a big part in who you are today and your life choices. Going back there can help you understand these better and if necessary, move on.
