Locating discount flights internationally

Step one: Scour the Internet looking for consolidated lists of airfares at any of the popular sites.  Each web site can offer different benefits, so be sure to use at least three different ones to start with.

Consolidators can provide cheap flights, because they buy airfares in bulk directly from the airlines and get volume discounts.  The savings is then passed on to the consumer.

There are other ways to get discount airfares–  You can try booking flights outside of the typical peak flying times.  Of course these very depending on the airline that you choose, and your destination.  It’s always best to just try different scenarios to see which one yields the best value.

Keep in mind that everyone has access to all of this information, but most people don’t use it to the full extent that you could.  There are lots of other options available for finding discounted airfares out there, so the best course of action is to do your “due diligence” and research various different sources to find the best deals.
